18.2 Analog Peripheral Manager Operation

The Analog Peripheral Manager is enabled by setting the EN bit. Once enabled, all the prescalers and counters will begin counting based on the configuration of the corresponding registers.

The analog peripherals that are to be controlled using the APM module must be initialized before setting the EN bit. It is important that the analog modules are disabled in the initialization code to allow the APM the ability to activate and deactivate them.

Tip: When the APM module is enabled, it is recommended for proper operation that the APMPER and APMPRE registers are not written to or updated.
