3.1 EV03E14A LAN96459 Unmanaged EVB (Unmanaged Evaluation)

The EV03E14A LAN96459 Unmanaged EVB is an evaluation board based on the LAN96459 9-port Gigabit Ethernet switch, configured for stand-alone unmanaged operation.

Switch configuration is performed using hardware configuration straps and, optionally, configuration data stored in external EEPROM or SPI Flash. This allows users to evaluate static configurations without requiring a host processor.

This platform is intended for:

  • Evaluating LAN9645x devices in unmanaged designs
  • Developing systems using strap or EEPROM-based configuration
  • Prototyping fixed-function Ethernet switches
