5 WILCS02 Firmware Upgrade

The WILCS02 integrated circuit is a secured device and cannot be reprogrammed using JTAG/ICSP debuggers. The following are the two secure methods for upgrading the Wi-Fi® firmware:

Firmware Side-loading (Host Firmware Upgrade)

This method is applicable if the WILCS02 device is already connected to and successfully communicating with the Linux host platform.

Device Firmware Update (DFU)

This method is applicable to a WILCS02 device that has been erased or is not communicating with the Linux host platform.
