Introduction

The WILCS02 Wi-Fi® link controller module is a highly efficient, low-power wireless solution meticulously designed to meet the evolving demands of modern Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Compliant with IEEE® 802.11b/g/n standards, this module operates in the 2.4 GHz frequency band, ensuring robust and reliable wireless connectivity. It interfaces seamlessly with a host microcontroller via a Secure Digital Input Output (SDIO) interface, facilitating easy integration into various systems.

Operating at a typical single supply voltage of 3.3V, the WILCS02 also supports a flexible voltage range of 1.8-3.6V for certain Input/Output (I/O) pins through the VDDIO pin, catering to diverse power requirements.

The WILCS02 Module is available in two antenna configurations:
  • Printed Circuit Board (PCB) antenna – An on-board PCB antenna for compact designs.
  • U.FL connector for an external antenna – Offering enhanced flexibility and performance optimization based on specific application needs.
