3.2.3.3 IRTSTAT
The IRTSTAT register in dsPIC33A devices is a 32-bit read/write status register specifically intended for use by IRT (Immutable Root of Trust) firmware to store/communicate status to later stages of code. The register is available to store status information, such as secure boot status or other custom status values. The register is only reset on a cold Reset (Power-On Reset or Brown-Out Reset). The value is retained across most device Resets, including software Resets. This allows the IRT code to use this register to retain status through Resets if ,needed.
The IRTSTAT register is read-only when PLCK bit = ‘1’.
