40.1 Low-Power Voltage Reference

The VREFLP module provides a low-power voltage reference that is primarily meant as an input to the Low-Power Comparator (CMPLP), but may be used as an input to other peripherals. The voltage reference output is a nominal 1V output that is designed to be highly accurate over the entire voltage and temperature range.

The Low-Power Voltage Reference is enabled using the Low-Power Voltage Reference Enable (VLPEN) bit. When VLPEN is set (VLPEN = 1), the reference is enabled. When VLPEN is clear (VLPEN = 0), the reference is disabled and consumes no current.

The Low-Power Voltage reference may also be enabled using the Analog Peripheral Manager (APM). See the “APM - Analog Peripheral Manager” section for more details.
