2.2 End Device Personalization and Activation
To participate in a LoRaWAN network, each end-device has to be personalized and
activated. After activation, the device address (DevAddr), an application identifier
(AppEUI), a network session key (NwkSKey), and an application session key (AppSKey) is
stored in the end-device. In a LoRaWAN network, the end-device personalization and
activation can be achieved in two methods.
- Over the Air Activation (OTAA)
- Activation by Personalization (ABP)
