33.4.4 Interrupt Generation

For interrupt handling, the PIO Controllers are considered as user peripherals. This means that the PIO Controller interrupt lines are connected among the interrupt sources. The PIO Controller supplies one interrupt signal per I/O group. Refer to the PIO Controller peripheral identifier in the product description to identify the interrupt sources dedicated to the PIO Controller. The PIO Controller can target either the Secure or Non-Secure Interrupt Controller, depending on the security level of the I/O line which triggers the interruption. Using the PIO Controller requires the Interrupt Controller to be programmed first.
