1.6 Power Board Visualizer PC Setup

Remote monitoring and control are added through Microchip’s Power Board Visualizer software. Sensor values, state machine and Fault flags can be monitored through this GUI. Control is done by means of buttons and control sliders on the PBV.

The application can be extended by means of adding offsets, scaling factors for visualization and plotting data as time domain graphs.

The dashboard has five distinct sections:

  1. A table used to monitor the system values in real time.
  2. Buttons to start/stop power transfer.
  3. Sliders to provide reference values.
  4. System state and debug information
  5. Communication status
