5.1 Basic Operation

The sniffer operates in two distinct modes:

1. The first mode involves monitoring all advertising channels to capture as many packets as possible from a wide range of devices. This is the standard mode of operation.
2. The second mode focuses on tracking a specific device to capture all packets sent to or from that particular device. This mode allows for the capture of:
   • Advertisements and scan responses dispatched from the device
   • Scan requests and connect requests directed to the device
   • Packets exchanged between the two devices in the connection
