The ATA8510 transceiver is highly flexible and configurable. Microchip offers an EEPROM
configuration GUI to allow easy and fast configuration of the device settings. Use this
environment to configure radio frequency, data rate, coding, modulation, pattern and
many other settings. Figure 3-1 illustrates an
extract of the GUI for the ATA8510/ATA8515 transceiver product.Figure 3-1. Atmel Configuration Tool –

Once the required configuration is finalized, save the configuration into a .xml
file for later reload and processing. For programming the ATA8510 transceiver, export
the configuration in a .hex file for use with a Microchip programing
environment, like Microchip Studio 7. Various other formats, such as .h
or .hct, can be used to store initialization and configuration data
within a host controller in the final application. For more details about the use of the
EEPROM configuration GUI, refer to the ATA8510 Configuration Tool Guide.
