2.12.1 Capless Speaker Output
The capless speaker audio output setting is generally used in the following application:
- To drive a headphone/earphone with internal CODEC
- To save the cost of DC block capacitor in audio output path
The following figure illustrates the capless output circuit connection with a phone jack.
Where:
- AOHPR – Right channel analog headphone output
- AOHPL – Left channel analog headphone output
- AOHPM – Headphone common mode output/sense input
To configure the audio for Capless Speaker Output, perform the following steps on the
CODEC Setup page.
- Set the Speaker Output function as Capless Speaker Output.
- Set the CODEC Type as
Internal.
