11 Additional Safety Features in the tinyAVR 1-series
The tinyAVR® 1-series has some additional features that can be used for increased safety, but do not directly address any of the Class B requirements:
- Configuration Change Protection (CCP) prevents changes of certain I/O registers and writing/reading to non-volatile memory if a timed code sequence is not followed
- Fuses can easily be read and verified by the application software
- Brown-Out Detection (BOD), programmable Voltage Level Monitor (VLM) with Interrupt and Power-On Reset (POR) to keep the device from operating below safe voltages
- The clock system checks for oscillator stability before switching clock sources
