44.4 OPA Operation with ADC

When INTOE = 1, the OPA module provides internal connections directly to the ADC, allowing it to be used for analog signal conditioning before a signal is converted by the ADC. In this mode of operation, the external output of the OPA connected to the OPAxOUT pin is disabled, and the internal output of the OPA module is available to be selected as an ADC input through the ADC channel selection register. When using this mode of operation, the ADPCH register of the ADC module must be used to select one of the available OPA input pins. The OPA input pin selection determined using the ADC input channel selection register will take precedence over the input pin selection using the PSS bits. The noninverting OPA input will switch to the pin selected by the ADPCH, and the OPA output will be connected to the ADC input.

Note: When INTOE = 1, the external output of the OPA module is disabled and the OPAxOUT pin can be used as a GPIO.
