3.2.1 Processor Power Supplies
The SAM9X7 Series is an Arm® Cortex®-A5 CPU-based embedded microprocessor (MPU) targeting HMI and connectivity applications in the home/building, industrial and appliance markets.
The SAM9X75 Curiosity Pro features a SAM9X75 in a System-in-Package (SiP), which integrates DDR3L SDRAM, simplifying board design and reducing the overall system footprint.
The SAM9X7 Series is delivered with a comprehensive development suite that includes a mainline Linux® distribution and the Microchip MPLAB® X/Harmony software framework.
The device offers support for multiple memory interfaces, including quad SPI and NAND Flash. It integrates various display interfaces, including MIPI DSI®/CSI, LVDS and parallel RGB. It features a Gigabit Ethernet MAC, an Image Sensor Controller (ISC) and a Class D audio output.
The SAM9X7 Series features connectivity options such as CAN-FD and high-speed USB interfaces, and embedded security functions.
- 1.15V to 1.25V for the CPU power rail (VDDCPU)
- 1.15V for the core power rail (VDDCORE)
- 1.35V for the DDR I/O power rail (VDDIODDR)
- 3.3V for I/Os, oscillators, LDO input and digital power rails
- 2.5V for the analog rail and MIPI D-PHY (VDDOUT25). This rail is provided by the embedded LDO output.
Decoupling capacitors are placed close to the MPU power pins to stabilize the voltage rails.
