8.4.1 Checking the Permanent Write-Protect Register (PSWP) Status

To determine the status of the Permanent Write-Protect register, a command similar to the one used for programming the register should be sent to the device, with the R/W bit set to one. If the device responds with an Acknowledge, the Permanent Write-Protect register has not been programmed. Otherwise, it has been programmed and the first half of the array is permanently write protected.
