2.3.1 ADDR Pin Configuration:
The ADDR pin is resistor-programmed to assign unique I2C/PMBus addresses to each module on the shared communication bus.
- U1 Host: ADDR (pin 12) connected to GND through R12 = 0Ω
- I2C address: 0x10
- PMBus address: 0x70
- U2 Client: ADDR (pin 12) connected to GND through R34 = 1.87 kΩ
- I2C address: 0x12
- PMBus address: 0x72
This allows both modules to operate on the same bus while maintaining independent device addressing. Refer to the MCPF1525M06 datasheet, Table 2-2 (I2C/PMBus Address Offset Resistors), for supported ADDR resistor settings.
