1.26 TC Compare Mode

This example application shows how to use the TC module in compare mode to generate an active low, active high, and toggle output on compare match.

Description

Three TC channels are configured in compare mode. Each channel generates different output waveform depending upon configured action on compare match and period match.

Active low output: Output is set high on compare match A and is set low on compare match C.

Active high output: Output is set low on compare match A and is set high on compare match C.

Toggle output: Output toggles on compare match A.

Setting Up SAMA7G5 Evaluation Kit

SETTING UP THE BOARD
  • Connect an oscilloscope to the TIO pins
  • Connect a 5V power supply to the board. This can be either of the following:
    • A USB cable connected between “USBA” (J7) connector on the board and USB host port on PC
    • A 5V DC adapter connected to “5V DC IN” (J1) connector on board
  • Connect the Debug USB port (J24) on the board to the computer using a micro USB cable

Running the Application

  1. Build and run the application using its IDE
  2. Observe generated waveforms on the oscilloscope
