2 PIC32WM-BW1 Module Description
The PIC32WM-BW1 Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® Low Energy Combo MCU Module is designed as a multi-protocol solution that integrates Microchip’s PIC32CX1012BZ25048 wireless MCU and WINCS02IC 802.11b/g/n-compliant network controller into a single module, providing an end-to-end solution from sensor to cloud.
The PIC32CX1012BZ25048 is a versatile ARM® Cortex®-M4F multi-protocol MCU with integrated Bluetooth Low Energy 6.0, Thread 1.3.0, and supports IEEE® 802.15.4 mesh protocols as well as multi-protocol operations.
Note: This module supports only Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy; it does not support IEEE 802.15.4, Thread, or related protocols.
The PIC32CX1012BZ25048 device is powered by a 64 MHz ARM Cortex-M4F and is equipped with features such as OTA, hardware arbitration for multi-protocol wireless, a hardware-based security accelerator, and a rich set of peripherals. The WINCS02IC is a single-chip 2.4 GHz and IEEE® 802.11b/g/n-compliant solution with an integrated High-Power Amplifier (HPA), Low-Noise Amplifier (LNA), and Radio Frequency (RF) switches for TX/RX control. It functions as a Network Controller IC with a hardware-based security accelerator.
