1.2 MPUs with Built-in MIPI DSI Interface
The following MPU devices support MIPI DSI:
- SAMA7D65: features MIPI DSI, LVDS and 8-bit serial RGB interfaces, making it ideal for Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications.
- SAM9X7 Series: includes models like SAM9X75, with an LCD controller supporting 24-bit parallel RGB, LVDS and MIPI DSI interfaces.

Selection Criteria for SAMA7D65 with Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2
The Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 operates at a pixel clock frequency of 83.33 MHz (see Ilitek ILI9881C driver).
- The SAMA7D65 supports display pixel clocks up to 150 MHz, which is suitable for this display. Its integrated 2D GPU and 1 GHz Cortex®-A7 processor enable smooth rendering and responsiveness for high-resolution HMI applications.
- The SAM9X75 supports display pixel clocks up to 80 MHz.
