1.3 Hardware Prerequisites
To successfully integrate a custom MIPI display, the following items are required:
- SAMA7D65-Curiosity board (EV63J76A)
- A custom MIPI display, such as the Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2, featuring a 15-pin DSI connector
- A MIPI DSI adapter board, required if the
display’s connector does not match the 34-pin MIPI connector on the Curiosity
board.
- For the Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2, an adapter is needed for a 15-pin DSI
to 34-pin MIPI conversion.Note: Contact your local Microchip sales representative for details on obtaining the appropriate adapter.
- For the Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2, an adapter is needed for a 15-pin DSI
to 34-pin MIPI conversion.
- Power supply
- Ensure the board and display are powered adequately. Some displays draw power from the board, while others require a separate supply.
- An SD card to store and boot the SAMA7D65-Curiosity board firmware
- Debugging tools
- A JTAG debugger such as the MPLAB PICkit™ 5 or the SAM-ICE™ debugger
- A USB-to-serial adapter for console communication via J35
