4.4 DCDT and SMPS Control Library

These Analog controllers are realized in the digital domain by transforming the compensator transfer function from s-domain to z-domain. The Digital Compensator Design Tool (DCDT) is used to determine the digital compensator coefficients. This tool is a free plugin available in MPLABX IDE. Based on the Poles and Zeros location, the coefficients for the Z domain equation are calculated. These coefficients are used in the SMPS control library and also provided free by Microchip. SMPS control library provides efficient and fast assembly libraries to update the control loops.
