2.5 OFFMode

OFFMode is the mode with the lowest current consumption. Typically, 5 nA can be expected for an application driven by a 3V battery. In OFFMode, all internal circuitries are disconnected from the power supply. The device is not receptive for RF signals or SPI commands. Furthermore, the ports are set to be inputs with or without pull-up resistors.

The ATA8510/15 is in OFFMode after connecting the external power supply under the condition that no NPWRONx pin is set to ‘0’ and the PWRON pin is not set to ‘1’. During operation, a transition to OFFMode is initiated by the SPI command “OFF Command”.

OFFMode can be left by setting one of the NPWRON1..6 pins to LOW or the PWRON pin to HIGH. This starts the transition to IDLEMode.
