1.3 First Launch

Before using the MCP2222 GUI Utility, ensure the following:

  1. Connect your MCP2222 device to a USB port on your computer.
  2. Launch the application. It will automatically detect connected MCP2222 devices using the default Vendor ID (VID) and Product ID (PID) configured in the Settings tab. See the Device Connection Settings section for more details.
  3. Verify the connection. The footer bar will show a Connected badge with the number of detected devices.
  4. Select a target device. Click the Target button in the footer to choose which connected device to work with.
  5. Read the device configuration. Click the Read button (download icon) in the footer to load the current configuration from the selected device.
Note: If the connected device does not appear automatically, add it manually by following the instructions in the Add Custom Device Dialog section, or update the default VID/PID in the Settings tab.
