4.4.1 Setting Up an Environment Variable on a Windows Client Machine

Open the Start menu, search for Environment
Variables.
The Environment Variables dialog appears.

In the dialog, under User variables, perform the
appropriate step:
If
LM_LICENSE_FILE
appears in the dialog:- Select the variable, and then select Edit.

Append
port@hostname
to the existing value. For example,1702@license_server
. - Select OK to save your edits and exit the dialog.
If
LM_LICENSE_FILE
does not appear in the dialog, perform the following steps:- Select New.

Set the Variable Name to
LM_LICENSE_FILE

Set the Variable Value as
port@hostname
. For example:1702@license_server
. - Select OK to save your edits and exit the dialog.

To add or update the SNPSLMD_LICENSE_FILE, perform the following steps:
If
SNPSLMD_LICENSE_FILE
exists:-
Append
port@hostname
. For example,1702@license_server
.
If
SNPSLMD_LICENSE_FILE
does not exist, perform the following steps:-
Create
SNPSLMD_LICENSE_FILE

Set the value to
port@hostname
. For example,1702@license_server
