1.4 Logic Function Selection

This stage is where any desired logic functions are applied to the outputs of the data gating stage. Each of the four data gating stage outputs are used as inputs to a single logic function. There are eight available functions:

AND-OR
OR-XOR
AND
S-R Latch
D Flip-Flop with Set and Reset
D Flip-Flop with Reset
J-K Flip Flop with Reset
Transparent Latch with Set and Reset

Figure 1-3 shows logic diagrams for each of these logic functions.
