5.1.6 Reconnection to Same Parent

This section captures the power profile measured from the Mi-Wi sleeping end device while establishing a connection to the same parent without performing a scan for beacon responses. This scenario occurs in a network where the Network freezer feature is enabled. When the sleeping end device goes through a power cycle or is Reset, it directly sends a connection request to the last connected parent. If a network freezer is not enabled, the sleeping end device can transmit a beacon request and follow the regular procedure to connect to the nearby Mi-Wi Mesh network. This profile is identical to the node sending the connection request right after the beacon response scan duration.
