3.31 PTP Clock Mode

Use this command to configure Precision Time Protocol (PTP) clock settings.

Command Syntax:

ptp ext [ output ] [ ext <clockfreq> ] [ ltc | independent | auto ]
ptp adj-method { ltc | independent | auto }
ptp <clockinst> domain <domain>
ptp <clockinst> mode { boundary | e2etransparent | p2ptransparent | master | slave | bcfrontend | aedgm } [ vid <vid>] [ profile { ieee1588 | 802.1as | 802.1as-aed } ]

<clockfreq>

The range of values is 1–25000000 (1–25 MHz).

<clockinst>

Number of a particular Clock Instance (0–3).

<domain>

HW clock domain used by the clock.

<vid>

VLAN Identifier used for tagging the VLAN packets.
