3.4.2 Wrap-Around to the Inside of the Cascade Chain
(Ask a Question)The cascade chain output of one row is connected to any adder input of another row. This type of connection is useful when designing systolic or folded FIR filters. With this approach, there is no need to insert compensating pipeline registers on the input side or create additional latency on the output side.
The following figure shows an example implementation of a wrap-around to the inside of a cascade chain.
