8.2 Firmware Integration

To build Microchip WILC’s firmware files as part of the root file system, perform the following steps:

1. The firmware files are located at /github.com/linux4wilc/firmware.

2. The users need to copy the firmware files to the root file system. The exact method depends on the build system you in use (for example, Buildroot, Yocto, OpenWrt, and more.).

3. The users must place the firmware files within the root file system at /lib/firmware/mchp/.
