2.6 Thread Large Node Network Topology Creation

A leader is first established to coordinate network operations and maintain network parameters. The network is then allowed to stabilize by ensuring that all routers and child devices successfully join and form a single partition.

The test environment represents a real-world office setting in which nodes operate under practical conditions. The network is exposed to various sources of environment factors and interference, including Wi‑Fi® traffic in the 2.4 GHz band, coexisting wireless devices includes the Mobile Phones and other wireless networks of Microchip, physical obstructions, such as walls and furniture, and electromagnetic noise from office equipment. These conditions represent realistic challenges, including channel congestion, signal attenuation, and multipath effects, enabling evaluation of network performance under real operating conditions.

Certain Thread network parameters, including Thread stack size and other configuration settings, have been tuned to support the scalability and performance requirements of a large-node Thread mesh network. These modifications help ensure efficient memory use, stable operation, and reliable communication across the expanded network.
