19.6.3 Hot-Plugging
Hot-plugging detection occurs when the external reset pin is not asserted and at least three TCK/SWCLK rising edges are detected. A hot-plugging debug sessions terminates only on a Brown-out-Reset . Hot-plugging is possible only if the device PORT MUX selects the TCK/SWCLK function. Availability of the hot-plugging feature can be determined from the STATUSB.HPS Hot-Plugging status bit. The figure below illustrates when hot-plugging is available based on debug access level. If the debugger IOs are programed for a user function besides debug, STATUSB.HPS = 0 regardless of the debug access level.
