19.6.2 Cold Plugging
Cold-Plugging detection occurs when the external reset is asserted for three consecutive TCK/SWCLK rising edges. A Cold-Plugging debug sessions terminates on POR or a brown out reset. The device TCK/SWCLK pad applies an internal pull-up to avoid false detection of a connection when this pin is left unconnected on the application board. Cold-plugging detection is available once pads are correctly powered, therefore after a power-on-reset. The external reset should be held asserted beyond the power-reset time for proper detection of cold-plugging.
