1.11 Clock Reference Module

The IO3 pin supports the Clock Out (CLKO) function. When configured as a CLKO, IO3 outputs a clock signal at the selected frequencies.

The factory-default CLKO frequency is 4 MHz. The output frequency can be one of the following:

• 6 MHz
• 4 MHz
• 2 MHz
• 1 MHz

These output frequencies can be changed through device configuration commands.
