1.4 Configuration Registers
The Configuration registers store and manage the MCP2222 device settings, including access protection. The Nonvolatile Memory (NVM) is used to store the power-up/RESET and the factory-default settings.
At power-up or Reset, the module loads the configuration settings from NVM into Volatile memory. These settings define the active device configuration, including the VID, PID, serial number, manufacturer name, product name, and I/O settings.
The user can read or modify both volatile and nonvolatile memory settings through the USB vendor interface.
