6.3 Polarity Inversion
(Ask a Question)The transceiver block with PCIESS supports differential polarity inversion. Receiver polarity is automatically detected by the PCIESS during link training, as defined in the PCIe specification. The differential data received by the transceiver RX are reversed if RXP and RXN differential traces are swapped on the PCB, accidentally. The transceiver RX inversion allows within the PCIESS to offset the reversed polarity of a serial differential pair.
