3.2.1.6 CRC Permission

The CRC permission gives the NVM controller permission to evaluate the CRC values of Flash pages inside the memory range for integrity checking purposes. This feature can be used to evaluate the integrity of a Flash page without exposing the Flash data via data reads.

CRC calculations can be used to leak information on the underlying data. Regions that require higher confidentiality should disable CRC permissions for that region.
