2.7.2 TXMode (transparent)
If TXMode(transparent) is selected, the ATA8510/15 transmits the data taken from pin 18 (TMDI). Once this mode is started, the transmitter path stays active as long as it is not deactivated by an SPI command. This mode neither provides any internal status information nor does it generate external events.
The data rate and coding are used as they are provided on the TMDI pin.
However, the TX-related digital filters (Gaussian shaping filter, pre-emphasis filter and ASK shaping filter) are available in transparent mode (see TX Filtering).
Setting the eepEventConf.cmdRdyConf.TX variable to ‘1
’, raises a
command-ready (CMD_RDY) event on the event pin PB6 when the transmitter starts up and is ready
to send the TMDI data.
