2.1 Basic Connection Requirements
Getting Started with the PIC32CZ CA70/MC70 Family of 32-bit Microcontrollers (MCUs) requires attention to a minimal set of device pin connections before proceeding with development. The following is a list of pin names, which must always be connected:
- All VDDCORE, VDDIN, VDDIO, and VDDOUT pins (see Decoupling Capacitors)
- All VDDUTMII and VDDUTMIC pins (see Decoupling Capacitors)
- All VDDPLLUSB and VDDPLL pins (see Decoupling Capacitors)
- RESET pin (see External RESET Pin)
- SWDIO/TMS, TDO/TRACESWO, SWCLK/TCK, and TDI pins used for In-Circuit Programming and debugging purposes (see Debug and Programming Pins)
- XIN and XOUT pins, when external oscillator source is used (see Clocks and Crystal Oscillators)
