10.5 Protecting a Device With a Password

1. Read the device configuration (see the Reading a Device Configuration section).
2. Navigate to the Main tab.
3. In the Chip Access section, enable the Password protection toggle.
4. In the Enable Password Dialog, enter and confirm an 8-character password.
5. Click Confirm.
6. Write the configuration to the device (see the Writing a Configuration to a Device section).

To lock the device after enabling password protection:

1. Click the Device protection button in the footer.
2. Enter the password in the Password Lock/Unlock Dialog.
3. Click Confirm.
