3.4.12.3 USB-to-I²C Bridge (DBGU or On-Board Power Measurement Facility)

One of the options to access the power measurement data from the PAC1934 device (U3) is to control it via the USB-to-I²C bridge MCP2221A (U11).

When using this device to access the PAC1934, make sure that the J65 and J67 headers have jumpers placed in the corresponding positions (MCP2221A_UARTxxx signals). The USB-to-I²C device is selected by default.

Connect the device to a host computer using a USB Type-C® cable plugged into the J66 connector.

Beforehand, the required MCP2221A device drivers and PAC1934 demo application should be installed on the host computer.

Additionally, the MCP2221A can be used as a serial debug port to the SAM9X75 MPU instead of the dedicated FTDI header J63. To enable this feature, place the jumpers in the other positions of the J65 and J67 headers (FTDI_xxx signals).
