22.2.3.1 Single Cycle Data (SCD)
The Single Cycle Data is the primary data and is newly generated and completely transmitted in each cycle. This data channel is primarily used for fast and cyclical sensor or actuator data. Since the data is cyclical, meaning it is based on repeated intervals of time, rather than based on specific state conditions, the data is predictable and able to be operated at high speeds. Sensor data can be considered a data transmission from a client to a host. Actuator data can be considered as a data transmission from a host to a client.
