10.9 Interfacing with a Wireless Module
To interface a Microchip SAMA7G54 System-On-Module Series device with a wireless feature like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Zigbee, several interfaces can be used, such as SPI, SDIO and/or USART interfaces.
For example, the device can be interfaced through SDIO to the Microchip Wi-Fi ATWILC3000 module and through USART to Bluetooth. This wireless module is a single chip IEEE 802.11 b/g/n RF/Baseband/MAC link controller with integrated Bluetooth® 5.0.
If an SPI or USART interface is used, see Interfacing in SPI Mode and Interfacing in USART Mode, respectively.
If an SDIO interface is needed, use one of the following interfaces.
| Interface Instance | IO Set | Pin No. | Pin Name | Function |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SDMMC0 | 1 | 125 | PA0 | SDIO/SDMMC0 Clock Line |
