2.7.5.5 Power Amplifier
The power amplifier (PA) can deliver output powers from -12 dBm to +14.5 dBm.
The value can be configured independently for each service in the eepServices.FEPAC.PACR[7:0] variables.
Address Service0 | Name | Bit 7 | Bit 6 | Bit 5 | Bit 4 | Bit 3 | Bit 2 | Bit 1 | Bit 0 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
0x00CE | FEPAC | PACR[7:0] |
In addition to the EEPROM setting, an SRAM variable (paDamping, address 0x02F4) for output
power reduction exists. The value of the SRAM variable is subtracted from the EEPROM value and
the result is written to the hardware register: FEPACHW = FEPACEEPROM –
paDamping. If paDamping > FEPACEEPROM, the FEPACHW register is set to
‘0
’. Therefore, the dynamic of the output power can be adapted during
run-time without writing to the EEPROM.
For a hardware description of the power amplifier, see Power Amplifier.
