Bits 7:0 – AUXDATA1[7:0] Axillary Data 1
When protocol conversion is enabled by configuring the Protocol Converter
(PROTCONV) bit field in the Control G (USARTn.CTRLG) register, this register
holds the bit value for a "one character". If the bit to be transmitted is
‘1’ it is replaced with this character. The number of bits
used for encoding and decoding is defined by the Character Size (CHSIZE) bit
field in the Control D (USARTn.CTRLD) register. Note that 9-bit character size
is not supported for protocol conversion.
When IrDA Encoding (ENC) is enabled in the Control G (USARTn.CTRLG) register,
this register sets the filter coefficient for the IRCOM transceiver. If register
value is set to ‘0’, filtering is disabled. Setting the value
between 0x01 and 0xFF enables filtering,
requiring x+1 equal samples for a pulse to be accepted.
AUXDATA1 must be configured before setting the Transmitter Enable (TXEN) or Receivere Enable (RXEN) bits in the Control B (USARTn.CTRLB) register.
