3.7 FLL Calibration
After powering the device, calibrate the FLL for the RX and TX parameters listed in the following table:
FLL Parameter | Description |
---|---|
fllrx_tuning_process[3:0] | FLL RX compensation value (in Register A28) |
flltx_tuning_div_ctrl[3:0] | FLL TX ILO divider value (in register A12) |
flltx_tuning_process[3:0] | FLL TX compensation value (in Register A28) |
This calibration adjusts the operation to make changes in temperature and supply voltage whenever these conditions change significantly. During this calibration, the value for the FLL RX parameter fllrx_tuning_process[3:0] = tune is determined at an RF frequency of 7 GHz, which is in the middle of the operating frequency range. When changing the RF frequency, load the new values for these parameters.
The following table provides details about the FLL parameter calibration values:
FLL Parameter | 6.52 GHz | 7.04 GHz | 7.56 GHz | 7.987 GHz |
---|---|---|---|---|
fllrx_tuning_process[3:0] | tune – 3 | tune | tune + 3 | tune + 5 |
flltx_tuning_div_ctrl[3:0] | tune – 3 | tune – 2 | tune – 1 | tune |
flltx_tuning_process[3:0] | tune – 2 | tune | tune + 2 | tune + 3 |
Note: The fllrx_tuning_process in
7.987 GHz is new in the ATA8352 UWB device and does not exist in the ATA8350 UWB
device.
