3.4.2.3 USB Port C

The USB-C® port is connected to the USB Type-A connector (J60) and acts as a host.

In Host mode, both the USB Host ports B and C each have a 500 mA high-side power switch output from a MIC2026 device. This setup supports both self-powered and bus-powered applications. The enable signals control the current-limiting power switch MIC2026, which in turn supplies power to a client device. The USB specification requires that bus-powered USB 2.0 devices must not exceed a current limit of 500 mA. To comply with this, the MIC2026 restricts the current and indicates an overcurrent condition. For more information about the MIC2026, refer to the product web page.
