1.5.3 Remote Wake-up Capability

The MCP2222 supports remote wake-up signalling to the USB host. Remote wake-up is triggered through any of the four Alert/Interrupt function pins when configured as alert input pins.

To use this feature, one of the ALRT[3:0] pins must be designated as an alert input. The interrupt detector must be configured to detect the required edge.

When the USB host is in Suspended mode, the MCP2222 enters Sleep mode. If the remote wake-up is enabled and any configured ALRT[3:0] pin detects the configured edge, the MCP2222 exits Sleep mode and sends a resume signal to the USB host.
