3.4.1 UART Settings
UART settings include:
- Baud rate
- Number of stop bits
- Parity
- Data width
These settings are not stored in NVM. Each time CDC communication is set up, the UART settings are sent by the USB host using the Set_Line_Coding command.
In addition to the above settings, hardware flow control can also be enabled by configuring the IO0 and IO1 pins as CTS and RTS pins.
| Byte Index | Register name | Comments |
|---|---|---|
| 8-11 | dwBaudRate | UART baud rate in 32-bit hexadecimal format |
| 12 | bStopBit |
Number of stop bits: 0x00 = 1 stop bit; 0x02 = 2 stop bits |
| 13 | bParity |
Parity selection: 0x00 = none; 0x01 = odd parity; 0x02 = even parity |
| 14 | bDataWidth |
Data width selection: 0x05 = 5 bits; 0x06 = 6 bits; 0x07 = 7 bits; 0x08 = 8 bits |
