6.3 Project Types

The New Project wizard supports the following project types:

• Microchip Embedded
  • Application Project(s) - Several types are discussed in the following sections.
  • Prebuilt (Hex, Loadable Image) Project - This type of project is imported. See 6.2.1 Import Prebuilt Projects.
  • User Makefile Project - This type of project is discussed in a following section.
  • Libraray Project - This type of project is discussed in a following section.
• Other Embedded - These types of projects are imported. See 6.2.4 Import Other Embedded Projects.
• Generic - The “Group of Projects” type is discussed in a following section.
